Nanomaterials form a large group of substances defined by size alone (1-100 nm in at least one dimension). Some nanomaterials have characteristics that offer potential for the energy sector, for example, and can help us achieve ambitious climate goals. In order to make use of these potentials, technology transfer from research to application is required. This is the goal and task of the NanoGeoTherm network. We report the results of a recent feasibility study on the application of carbon nanotubes in plastics and backfill materials.
