The article describes the thermal utilization of the Großer Sprudel in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler for a local heating network as part of an iKWK project.
The heat exchanger poses a particular challenge for heat recovery. Due to the high salt and solids content as well as the chemical (iron, manganese) and physical properties, the water leads to corrosion and incrustation in the pipelines and on technical installations.
