GeoTHERM Journal

GeoTHERM - expo & congress is an annual fair with an accompanying scientific congress that addresses the latest developments in the industry and creates an international platform dedicated to the possibilities, opportunities and risks of the use of geothermal energy in a specialist and neutral manner. This gives exhibitors, speakers and visitors alike the opportunity to find out about the latest developments and to exchange ideas in a worldwide dialogue.

The next GeoTHERM will take place on February 20 + February 21, 2024 at Messe Offenburg-Ortenau.

  • GeoTHERM Abstracts Journal

    The GeoTHERM Abstracts Volume contains all abstracts submitted to the GeoTHERM Editorial Board and reviewed by a team of experts. After acceptance by the editorial team, the abstract can be presented at conference GeoTHERM. The presentations contain scientific findings and practical examples of geothermal energy exploration and utilization. The guiding principle corresponds to the motto of GeoTHERM - expo & congress, the annual exhibition and congress in Offenburg, to present subsurface and deep geothermal energy in all facets, to communicate the potentials and advantages and disadvantages and to offer a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience.

  • GeoTHERM Journal

    The GeoTHERM Journal is a comprehensive and open-access journal that features research and  best practice of the exploration and use of geothermal energy. The published articles are based on papers presented at GeoTHERM expo & congress. The guiding principle corresponds to the motto of the event, to present near-surface and deep geothermal energy in all facets, to communicate the potentials and advantages and disadvantages and to offer a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience. All articles of the e-journal are defined as open-accessable according to the Open Access principle under a CC-BY license chosen by the authors themselves. 


    The first issue of the GeoTHERM Journal was published in  2023 with the DOI  https://doi.org/10.53196/gtj-2023
