GeoHardt GmbH, a project company of Energie Baden-Württemberg AG (EnBW) and MVV Energie AG, aims to develop and operate geothermal power plants. GeoHardt wants to utilise the special potential of deep geothermal energy in the Upper Rhine Graben to generate heat in the Hardt region. In order to obtain the high-resolution 3-dimensional model of the subsurface required for the drilling planning and reservoir development, a 3D seismic survey is required. By using CRS technology, TEEC GmbH was able to achieve a significant improvement in the data quality of a merged new and old seismic survey and thus create the basis for a precise model of the geothermal potential areas.
